About Jeanty Books
Anne-Sophie Jeanty
ANNE-SOPHIE JEANTY is a singer-songwriter and co-author of Daddy, Can We Keep the Little Bird? Based on her very own experience as an only child, the book tells the story of the longing of a child to have a pet. Written in three languages, Daddy, Can We Keep the Little Bird? speaks volumes about her upbringing in a multicultural environment, particularly at Rochambeau, the French International School in Washington DC. Aside from school, Anne-Sophie spends her time writing songs, nourishing her interest in psychology/psychiatry, taking flight lessons, and listening to a variety of music.
Patrick Jeanty
PATRICK JEANTY believes being a dad is an unwavering, self-sacrificing, unconditional love and commitment to your child. Patrick would participate in creative activities with his daughter, such as painting and songwriting, and rekindled his passion for the Spanish language. Daddy, Can We Keep the Little Bird? arose from his creative father-daughter bond with Anne-Sophie. Patrick hopes the father in the book embraces the values of what it means to be a dad.
Didier Jeanty
DIDIER JEANTY is the record producer and audio engineer for the soundtrack of Daddy, Can We Keep the Little Bird? composed of eight songs highly influenced by American pop, French electro-pop, Latin urban, and samba music. Aside from bringing his cousin Anne-Sophie’s songs to fruition, Didier is also well-versed in playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele, thus also granting him the title of multi-instrumentalist.
